Have you checked the trees around your house lately?

We haven’t seen a hurricane yet this season, but late August and early September has been the most dangerous time for us over the past 10 years. Don’t hesitate to take a walk around your yard and make sure that your trees are alive and healthy. Look for any signs of death or weakness: dry heavy branches, rot around the trunk of the trees, or trees that have a significant lean.

The LSU AgCenter recommends thinning out the branches of trees that are leaning; including removing branches on the side to which it leans, or removing the tree altogether.

Need help doing this? Unfortunately, we cannot do this; we are not licensed arborists. This information is for the benefit of our customers and friends. However, we do know a trustworthy arborist, if you need a recommendation.
